The Family Caregiving Story in Numbers
According to a National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA) survey1, more than
one-quarter (26.6%) of the sampled population is currently caring for a family
member or friend, or has been within the past year. This is based on more than 54
million people having been caregivers during that year. Surprisingly, among the
26.6% the number of men participating in care is 44%. The number of caregivers
living in the same household as the one they care for is 37%.

Caregiving Affects Everyone
According to former first lady Rosalynn Carter
...
"There are four kinds of people in
the world:
Those who are caregivers Those who have been caregivers Those who will be caregivers Those who will need care"
Caregiving is a fact of life eventually for everyone. Caregiving involves the
efforts of many individuals. Its effect on the business world will continue,
especially as the population ages. It is important to get prepared for caregiving,
if you are not already providing it. Education is key. Blanche Katz has the wealth
of special professional qualifications, education, and personal experience to
educate and help others.
